Brilliant news – Bempton cliffs has won

Gannet families

Brilliant news – Bempton cliffs has won not one, but two, funding bids, one from the Heritage Lottery Fund and the other from the government’s Coastal Communities Fund. The money will be used to refurbish the Visitor Centre.

Unfortunately, this means the reserve will be closed from Monday, 1 September 2014, and will not reopen until Wednesday, 1 April 2015.

The cliff tops will still be accessible via a public footpath, and of course from either side of the reserve boundaries along the cliff path, but there will be no facilities available – including toilets, car parking, refreshments etc.

Please do come and see us from 1 April 2015 onwards and admire our fantastic new centre, complete with an education classroom, increased interpretation and retail space, plus some other great additions.
